Apple-Bacon Brussel Sprouts

If you've never had brussel sprouts, you don't know what you're missing! I've never had them cooked any way besides the way I'm showing you here, but I don't think I really want to. I love this recipe! It came from the Pink Little Monster blog, and it's definitely a keeper.

Ingredients

4 slices bacon
1 lb. brussel sprouts
1 apple
salt & pepper, to taste
about 2 Tbsp. red wine vinegar

Directions

First prepare your ingredients.
bacon: slice in half inch strips
brussel sprouts: ends cut off then sliced in half
apple: cored and diced
Spread bacon on a large sheet pan.
Bake at 425 degrees until browned, about 10 minutes.
Scoop bacon pieces onto a paper towel to drain.
Leaving the bacon grease in the pan, place the brussel sprouts face down.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Bake for about 10-15 minutes or until brussel sprouts are beginning to brown.
Toss in diced apple and bake another 10-15 minutes.
Once apples begin to soften, remove from the oven, drizzle vinegar over, and toss to coat.
Serve immediately.
